Birthday stuff

Not mine. Anna's. Her 22nd. Aaagh. That means Steph's going to be 24 in 2 days (it goes my mum 27th, Anna 29th, Steph 31st - the nightmare that was the year of the 50th, 16th and 18th you do not want to hear about). Which means in four months and a week after that I'll be 24. Not. Supposed. To be this old yet. Help!

Anyway, looked through the pressies - mine being a 'Give me back my ruby slippers' t-shirt from Wizard of Oz, double significance for Anna. The line was so her when she was little, and she played Glinda in The Wiz when she was 17. Lots of clothes and smellies. Then Yellow River Cafe - loud, chinese food. Then talking to Alex about horror films and Monty Python films when we got home. And... I'm spent.

Strange dreams

Meg has obviously infected me. For last night I dreamt about 'Nsync. Yes, you may recoil in horror. I certainly did when I woke up.

Was one of those where you don't exactly question their appearance. Was in one of those malls with cafés in the forecourt, and for some reason 'Nsync was there. I had to do casual chaperone duties for the band, and spent large amounts of time acting as a sort of go between. I seem to remember giggling over JC being disgustingly cute several times, as well as a lot of 'Aaargh, sorry Joey' and 'Chris, what are you *doing*?'

Pain. Lots of pain.

Went out to garden for some fresh air. Rolled over to get up and a wasp objected to this, stung me over the knee funnybone nerve. Only somehow the sodding stinger got caught and the wasp couldn't get free, so kept pumping in the poison. Eventually managed to dislodge it with pen (very carefully, I'm not stupid). So I now have at least a double dose of wasp sting over a nerve. owwwwwww. Anyone got any cures?
