They're re-showing the pilot tonight and tomorrow on Sky One, with repeats, leading up to the new series on monday. And yes, I'm bloody stunned that we're getting the new series before the US. According to scifi.com, you lot not in the UK don't get it until January. Are your schedules that stuffed that we get to do the 'Spoilers! Nyaaaaaah and thpppppbbbbt!' ? My word.
(And yes, this is all due to the usual Brit thing, where we don't have spoilers due to having heard it talked about months prior to seeing it on our screens, be it satellite or terrestrial. And it's not merely a matter of skip week intruding, like it did for the ep of Stargate where Daniel Jackson got killed.)
Second time of watching the pilot, and my god I'd forgotten just how bloody good it is. The dialogue, the design, the sheer desperation and awful decisions... not to mention how damn cool it is that during space battles, you get low 'whumphs', because there's no sound in space, due to it being a vacuum. Like implosions rather than explosions. :does the dance of geeker joy: And the music. The drumming, large overtones of middle-eastern style in that drumming. So damn coooooooooool.
But you bastards get Peacekeeper Wars this sunday. :sulks in your general direction:
Though have discovered that the music and tension and mood make for very good pure porn writing.
