Just been out to dinner, were talking about the rugby and the various hakas the pacific-edge countries do, and I pondered that since they were allowed to do their war dances, could the English -

At which point my brother glared at me and went "No, they are not bloody well allowed to Morris Dance. It'd scare too many people."

I did have a similar thoughr when I was in Russia and I went to a Cossack dance performance - that, if I did cultural things in places like Russia, I should do the same thing in the UK. It then occured to me I'd have to watch Morris dancing. Then again, after seeing those shouty black ninja Morris dancer types at Silver Arrow, that may not necessarily be a bad thing.
