Comes bearing burnt offerings

...no beer here, sadly. Still, slightly belated feedback.

Shouldn't really need to say I like this, should I? But so's you know, I do, very much. Nice style, and I like the way you do the dialogue, casual enough to be real rather than all laid out in full sentences, but still sharp as anything.

Tiny nitpicks (and feel free to ignore, of course, I'm just offering the info in case you're interested. I guess 'Oxford-picking' by analogy with 'Brit-picking' - and I don't need to say how refreshing it is to see a fic in this fandom written by a Brit, with phrases like "down the pub"! Cheers!):

stuck up posters on the main noticeboards in uni - this jarred a bit after your accurate use of 'college' earlier; I'd put 'college' again, or possibly 'the faculty building' or such-like.

from the adjacent rooms in the dorms to Stanton's - Never heard anyone say 'dorms' in Oxford; 'halls' might cover it generally, but mostly people just say 'building' ("Which building are you in?" "I'm in Wolfson/ Wolfson Building"). Or the older (men's) colleges, people live on 'staircases' ("I'm in Staircase VI, room 4").

Hope that's of some help; sorry for the somewhat incoherent, rambling feedback; am very tired.
