stuff and wheee!

Well, Mum's 60th was nice, filled with neighbours and relatives, several of whom I'd never ever met or had last met me when I was 6. 'Er, yes, Second-aunt once removed, of course I remember you....' Good food, enjoyable afternoon, and I finally got this summer's Pimms.

Apparently looked faaaabulous, darling. Though got so many comments from neighbours and recently-seen relatives about me losing weight that I went upstairs to check the scales and proceeded to do a little victory dance. Just under 10 stone. Yay! (for those who don't understand this dance of joy, I haven't been under ten stone since I was 12. Or possibly before. I ballooned at puberty and only really started losing it in my 20s - I've been 10 and a half or 10 and a quarter for the past several years.) Thought I'd only slimmed down shape-wise, not weight wise, and I'd been fine with that. Still. Victory Dance. Especially of the smug is when people ask you what diet/new exercise regime you've been doing and the answer is None Whatsoever, Read It And Weep.
