icon meme, to-do lists in my life

Look at your LJ userpics list. If you have fewer than twenty icons, post them all. If you have between twenty and fifty icons, pick every fifth one. If you have between fifty and seventy-five icons, pick every seventh one. If you have over seventy-five icons, pick every tenth one. List them on your LJ, and tell everyone exactly why you have it, why it's interesting to you, and what significance it has.

Weighed, measured, been found wanting - I love Knight's Tale. And it's a wonderful sitting in judgement icon.
Gryffindor no. 1 - Fusion of Gangster no.1 and HP due to David Thewlis and the insertion of Gary Oldman. With severe overtones of [livejournal.com profile] copperbadge's Uncle, which had Remus as an old-school East End Gangster. it is glorious. and doubles for when I'm feeling superior and talking about HP.
Eyeroll - one of my v. first Dr Who icons. Nine being my fave Doctor, and his eyeroll being a wonderful mood icon.
Take that, grass! - Frustration. Impotence. summed up perfectly by a penguin.
Oh no you didn't - Dean + superglued beer bottle. Supernatural, vague horror at someone's actions, and also a 'I can't believe you did that, individual person/world'
Jack Harkness looking thoughtful - it's Jack Harkness. He's contemplating/being pretty. It's also my 'oh my' icon. as in 'oh my that was... i think I'll go be thoughtful in my bunk' As well as 'oh my, I never thought of that'. 'Oh my' doubles for a lot of things.
Jack dipping Rippy - hee. Torchwood extras and JB. a happy thing. Pretty, pretty men in uniform being utterly silly and dancing. This is an OTP icon, a silly icon, a glee icon, and a fandom icon all in one.
King Ianto's Coffee Club - Join for everlasting peace and Damn Fine Coffee. Caffeine. Ianto. fandom. :raises eyebrow: you're a Nescafe drinker, aren't you. CONFESS.
Chuck and Morgan - chuck fandom, friendship, 'I see what you did there, did you just do that, etc'
Miss Piggy - feeling utterly fabulous, being a drama queen, being girly, makeup/hair/clothes, and of course, HAI-YA, FROG!

At work I have little to-do lists on scraps of paper which get gradually ticked off. Everything from shopping to shaving legs to reminders to go look at jobs. When most of the stuff on there has been ticked off, I transfer the old items and start a new one. I find it's a fairly efficient way of keeping track. Sadly, some of it takes forever - jobs, and looking into getting a new language, and some other bits. Sometimes I'm surprised that I've already done it since I last looked at it - 'oh, I went to see that. and bought that. And got that. and did that. Huh. New list time.'

Today, I started on one item i've been meaning to do for ages. Cataloguing my dvds. If nothing else it'll stop me getting duplicates.
