things wot I have researched badly in the name of nano

Re: illness yesterday. Eventually had to go home once the nausea had passed due to spending half an hour lying down, running a temperature, and going an interesting shade of off-white.

Poking nano notes and seeing what else I have to research for a sodding *fantasy* story. (so far, it's been medieval castle building times and lengths of engagements - god knows what else I'll have to do) Which segued into seeing what I'd had to research in previous years.

2002 : My Inner Wolf is not Bloody Metaphorical - nowt.
2003 : Sharpe's Initiative - American soldiers in the Peninsular War, Rifles regiments.
2004 : Robin of Sherwood S4 - nowt
2005 : Where is the life that late I led - nowt.
2006 : A girl in possession of a job is not in want of a prince - re-watch Jane Austen.
2007 : The Second Hand Unwinds - Dates of Algiers and North african invasion, Axis + Allied. Routes across the Mediterranean and north Africa, WW2. Timetables of trains across Algiers. Geography of various towns and surrounding country of several towns in North Africa. Occupation dates of North Africa. Random Bletchley facts. Gentlemens' clubs in WW2. American deployment in the RAF and when they got re-absorbed into the American forces. Release date of Star Wars. And to cap it all, chocolate brands in the early 20th C.

Note to self : Don't set stuff in very well documented periods of history.

Noticed something else : My nanos seem to have a tendency towards violence and war. Seriously. It's not like I write immense amounts of violence normally, do I?

And now, Tescos.
