What type of Mary Sue are you?
brought to you by Quizilla
My first character wasn't a Mary Sue. It was a stock yarn with a plot and characters interchangeable with your average 70s/mid-80s Marvel superheros arc. Including dialogue, situations, etc.
Character number two, on the other hand.. mwhahaha. This wasn't a normal Mary Sue, it was a Mary Sue on steroids. It was me. Which I started writing in a lecture at college, where moi of present day did a mind-meld into the 16-year-old me of the X-Men universe, who was still me... but an in shape me with superpowers and on the Excalibur team. I'd wound the team back two years so I could meddle with plot lines, and damn it was fun. I've still got the stories around somewhere. I still remember the first point where I open the wardrobe to look at my costume and go into hysterics because I refused to wear the spandex monstrosity and hauled out a pair of combats . Basically an opportunity for me to make snarky comments and push them into spy work, and address the issues of celebrity the Excalibur team had at that time. Because if they were real celebrities, Rachel, Meggan and Kurt especially would be doing large amounts of magazine shoots at the very least. There were PR people and agents screaming down the phone at them between missions, which gradually became more and more about the intelligence side and Excalibur stopped being superheroes and became spies. They also got to snark at Professor X's team and ideals a lot.
