:whimper: Apparently the power supply on my computer has gone. Rang mum and she says she'll check with tech supplies to see if they have one. I have no computer. aaargh. This is being written on parents, access to which will be stopped as soon as Dad comes home from Guildford, as he's doing his taxes today. And mum's constantly doing management stuff on this one in the evenings... :wails:

Rambling and squee-age

Update on computer : Phoned the manufacturers, they gave me the number of the onsite repair lot, who are due to phone me either this evening or tomorrow to arrange a time to come fix my computer. Please let it be soon. Only not thursday, otherwise I'll have to re-schedule my massage. And I'm looking forward to that massage, dammit! Basically - no comp until about Friday. Parents looked at me, saying 'what are you going to do?', then suggested things and I pointed out that I can't actually do the redesign of Dad's company's site - the full horror of which is here as they won't let me put programs on this comp due to it being a work computer, not to mention he's doing his taxes at the mo. Same for watching videos/DVDs. TV is in this room. Can't distract when he's doing his accounting. Basically my options appear to be walks and books, as I'm trying not to spend money without good reason. Ascendant is a good reason.
Btw, anyone got any ideas or suggestions for costumes for Sci-fi night? I keep getting assaulted by fantasy rather than Sci-fi. Roaring Twenties, I'll probably end up going as one of the Chicago girls (quel surprise), and I've somehow got to get together a costume for Gotham Nights. If I can't get Poison Ivy done on time, I can always go as a GCPD officer or some such. Gotham is *easy*.
EDIT : Hrrrmm. Re:Sci-fi. Could always go as generic Firefly cast member. Or possibly Kaylee. Heeeeeere, Spacepants, come to momma! Also possibly need boots. Wonder where my riding boots are these days. I don't think my feet have grown *too* much.
In other news.... Second Breakfasts. It's a Merry/Pippin recs site, and good things do indeed come of lazily surfing someone's journal after finding it on your site referrals list. Squee! (reccing The Care and Feeding of Hobbits right now. shoo. read.
