mrpph. work
Feb. 14th, 2003 12:45 pmCurrently inputting data on various companies reports on one region of oil production. And as an oil brat who was brought up in a household where parents discussed their day and business at the dinner table and having Dad explain stuff to me round the dinner table, I can figure out about 80% of what the data means vis-a-vis production.
Had slightly scary realisation last night when Dad pointed out that I know more about the business than any graduate hoping to enter it, and I'm on a level of knowledge and understanding with quite a lot of people who actually work in it. V. strange realisation, as it's one of the first times I've stopped and thought about it, as I'm just used to all the data and figures going in one ear and out the other, but knowing some of it stays as I was reading off seismic data when I was ten and interpreting it as it came through.
