Ow. Ow. Ow.
Mar. 17th, 2003 12:15 pmRight leg seized up and had to stop at the 14 min stage, which cut jogging time down to 25min. Have discovered I can easily run/limp through my calf seizing up, but not my whole sodding leg. When your hip joint protests, you know you're in trouble.
Going to see Equilibrium today. Apply7ing for jobs. That's about it. Also cursing the bloody wax as it's being finicky today and refusing to work properly. Bastard substance. You're supposed to pull more than a few hairs out at a time!

Smallville
Mar. 17th, 2003 10:15 pmRyan. Little mindreading boy from last series was being experimented on, and it was a good ep. Had some decent real-world stuff, too - for once Clark was forced to face up to such things as 'break into a research facility and people will come after you with legal documents. Very quickly.' Fortunately if you're Clark and have just got a kid Lex has a soft spot for out of somewhere he's be ing experimented on, you get Lex with restraining orders backing you up. Nice bit with Lex vs. corrupt mayor, too - showing that he doesn't like being manipulated. And also, 'hmmm, so *that's* where Spender (Cancerman to you) from the X-Files went when he faked his death....'
Lana having a hissy fit about having to move to Metropolis with aunt Nell and her boyfriend. Scuse me, Lana, but have you considered that you have no say in this? And that moving to the big city is not all bad. But, of course, the world is all about Lana, not Nell, who raised you, cared for you, gave you pretty much everything you ever wanted... She even managed to get her 'So, anyway, about *me*' speech in when they were at the hospital waiting for Ryan to come out of life-threatening surgery. Mum understands that we do not like Fake Plastic Lana.
But there was a lovely, telling little thing this ep that involved Lana. She announces that the world isn't fair because she's going to have to move to Metropolis. Clark's reaction was 'Oh, gee, sorry, not going to lose sleep over it, now, about that refill of coffee?'. Now compare it with last season's reaction to Lex being called back to Metropolis. That one was complete broken heart. :snerk: Aside from that, not much overt slash, but you got the feeling it was there, like the relationship had settled into a comfortable one that was ever-present but just humming slowly in the background.
Oh! Also figured out who evil Doctor Garner is. Been nagging since I first saw him. He's the guy who was doing the orientation group for Elle and part of her class in Legally Blonde.
