Sewing and other arrghsomes

have spent afternoon using sewing machine. Not that difficult, it's just getting stuff to fit is the utter bastard. Have the glove-thingies done and half of one leg. Gloves are fine. The legs are a fucking problem, as I'm using normal fabric, not stretchy stuff (stretchy stuff costs the earth). What fits when you bend your knees is horribly saggy when you stand up straight - and I need to bend my knees. Am going into town for interview at Muji tomorrow, and I'm seriously tempted to look for over-the knee socks. Where the hell to find them, though...
