As mentioned in previous post, I have a specialised film/tv genre fetish. Historical British stuff (legend or history) with lots of mud, blood, and period detail. Which is why I was squealing to [livejournal.com profile] megolas "They have woad! Woad! Eeeeeeeeeee!" when looking at the Arthur piccies earlier. And I get incredibly depressed when things like First Knight happen along. Which don't actually count, since they made fuck all attempt and added Star Trek uniforms. And many of you probably know about my Robin of Sherwood fetish, which is a subset of my Robin Hood fetish which flattens all other fetishes beyond repair and is probably responsible for my historical period-with-mud film thing... Considering I used to read the stories, look at the illustrations and go 'tights? I think not.'

Soooo..... what's your genre film fetish?

As [livejournal.com profile] megolas says, it's one big music video. But, oh, such a great music video. It's far too much fun, has no pretensions and is basically about... well, entertaining its audience. Which is not film critics. Let's just say the majority of the audience were teen and twenties females, who were all giggling and going 'that was so great!' when we came out. Plus there is slash, but that's not important. Let's have the dancing scenes again.

And arrgh, The Sentinel. I had faith in you. You haven't had the 'female! must show interest!' dumb line in for ages. We had a decent gang war ep between the bikers and the Yakuza, with added undercover FBI and cop involvement, plus Blair got to do a car chase. And then in the last minute, Jim pulls the undercover FBI agent (working as the Yakuza's lawyer) aside, and you think he's just going to try and reason with her some more about the undercover stuff as her boss is going crazier. He does so. Then he fucking well comes onto her and they kiss, and then he tells her to be careful. Excuse me? You have shown no interest in each other whatsoever the whole ep! You were completely professional! She's bloody well doing the psycho head of the Yakuza to keep her head above water!

What the fuck was the point of that two minute scene? This is a cop show, not a romance piece. Were you desperately trying to show that Jim is heterosexual or something? Because I don't know if you remember, but a few eps back you had a whole ep devoted to Jim's attraction to a female suspect. :groans: Maybe they were told by the producers to negate the terribly gay vibe you got from that ep showing what Jim was like when he'd just left Vice...
