Nobody come near me. Woke up at 8am this morning feeling groggy, went for glass of water, went back to bed for an hour. Didn't wake up til 10:15am. Every single joint ached, head feels like it was stuffed with cotton wool. Shambled downstairs to have brekkies, then groped in cupboard for pain pills. Decided a bath might be a good idea for the joints. Had bath, jaw still aches a bit, but head still feels like it's stuffed with cotton wool.
Here's hoping it clears up by late afternoon, as we've tickets for the Open Air Shakespeare at the Abbey Ruins (a tradition that has been going on for several years and appears to have spread to other towns - suddenly posters are popping up everywhere). Merchant of Venice this year, something I've never seen previously - you get a bit biased by what you were given at school/see on tv/film. For me that's Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, Twelfth Night, The Tempest, Love's Labours Lost, As You Like It, Much Ado About Nothing, Macbeth, Midsummer Night's Dream, Henry V, King Lear, Othello and Richard III. Crossing fingers that it doesn't rain as it has a tendency to do - regulars tend to bring anorak and sweater as a matter of course. Already rained today, but still cloudy.
