Once Upon a Time in Mexico

Met up with aderyn at 9, went to Santa Fe, drank expensive cocktails, after ascertaining that yes, the voucher was okay, talked fandom and griped about jobs, went cinema... and film is confusing. Great fun, but seriously confusing. Descriptions to aderyn's dad who picked us up and my brother Matt were 'Um... Enjoyable. Great fun. Guns. Um. Villains far too many. Er. Salma Hayek was only in it for five minutes. Johnny Depp v. cool. Enrique Iglesias surprisingly good. Er. Plot?'

All music terribly mexican and mariachi, and not one instance of Dire Straits or Los Lobos. Pretty good. Also marvelling at the fact that Robert Rodriguez wrote the damn score.

I want to kill my brother. Self-righteous little git. More self-righteous than my mother, and that's saying something. Who, seriously, leaves a peeve til *Sunday*? When the alleged slight took place on Friday? Go back to New Zealand, you nonce. You were happy there and I could forget how self-obsessed and close-minded you are.

On the other hand, dragged mum out to see Calendar Girls, the film about the WI women who posed nude for a calendar for Leukaemia Research. She'd really wanted to see it, Dad was being terribly non-committal, I wanted to... so, happy. Great film, very funny, very moving, and great performances by disgustingly talented actresses.

On a further note, gluing these damn scenes together may be difficult. Am writing scenes, attempting to be linear, but obviously there's some missing bits, and not sure how it'll end. Oh well. As long as I finish it before S5 starts, all will be good.
