Once Upon a Time in Mexico
Sep. 21st, 2003 01:35 amMet up with
aderyn at 9, went to Santa Fe, drank expensive cocktails, after ascertaining that yes, the voucher was okay, talked fandom and griped about jobs, went cinema... and film is confusing. Great fun, but seriously confusing. Descriptions to
aderyn's dad who picked us up and my brother Matt were 'Um... Enjoyable. Great fun. Guns. Um. Villains far too many. Er. Salma Hayek was only in it for five minutes. Johnny Depp v. cool. Enrique Iglesias surprisingly good. Er. Plot?'
All music terribly mexican and mariachi, and not one instance of Dire Straits or Los Lobos. Pretty good. Also marvelling at the fact that Robert Rodriguez wrote the damn score.
