Birthday post.
Jan. 8th, 2004 12:09 amWell, from the previous post it appears the majority of you associate Sean Bean with me. As
munchkinott says 'No reason. *whistles innocently*' And it seems I have been stunningly unaware that paid users now have fifteen icons as default, as
megolas informed me last night. I think I need to search through my Bean archives and make more icons to continue the theme... Hmm, the many moods and expressions of said man. Perhaps a Boromir. Or my Sharpe one. I may have to branch out of my general theme of 'pissed off' or 'self-satisfied'.
Have only opened two pressies, due to getting back at 11:30. Autobiography of Errol Flynn, which is definitely original, and ...The Hours? I have never expressed a desire to watch this. Think the parents want it more than I do. Ah, well, that just means more play.com for me...
Also need to shout at Lush again for still not bloody delivering
megolas's xmas pressie.
Skellig at the Young Vic was good, though a bit more tell than show than usual, and as usual, come out of film/play with accent of show. Bloody Tesco Girl syndrome, though I'm seriously more susceptible to Geordie than anything else. The tendency to use bits of it in everyday speech has risen mightily in the past few years, not consciously, either. Typical. I finally get the sing-song out of it and the pronunciation creeps in instead. Though had one classic on the phone today - I finally asked at the end of the call 'Scuse me, but what accent *is* that? Half the time it sounded Canadian and half Scottish...' Turned out I was right. Canadian who'd spent the last ten years in Scotland. Steph turned up at tapas bar prior to the show, which was good, and Dad is crowing over the fact that I was munching on the sardines, proclaiming that 'If you can eat sardines and salmon, you'll eat any bloody fish!'
