Tempting
katemonkey with Shield/Angel ideas. It's her fault, she started it, for there are now police clashes with vamps, and Aceveda dealing with vamps controlling council interests, and Wolfram and Hart and its clients in Farmington, and South American drug lords and Danni being an activated potential running through my head. Arrgh. :borrows Mackey to beat the bunnies off:
As Kate says, *why* has this not been done before? Dammit, Vic and co deal with at least some crossover territory as Angel does. Do sci-fi fandom peeps just not watch really brilliant realist cop shows? :wails: The guy wrote The Thin Dead Line before starting on The Shield, fer crissakes...
Also, watching Jake 2.0 last night, I noted that Greenwalt directed ep 2. Still didn't stop me switching off halfway through due to sheer boredom. I like his handler, and the NSA guys, and the 'cute-best-friend that does not have massive eyes and glossy hair but shares all your interests, likes beer and the tv shows you do, that you can actually talk to', and even he's not half bad, though I do want to kill 'miss-perfect of the saucer eyes lust object' as I always do, it's just the atmosphere and writing and so on fills me with a general it's not bad, it's just that I don't care.
TV shows that are good? Tend to grab your interest from moment five, max. Christ, even Dead Like Me's 'get up, you have to start earning money! These shoes, this outfit, get arse down to recruitment agency!' at least made you go 'okay, this looks interesting, I shall keep watching.'
