T' comics verdict
Jun. 25th, 2004 07:30 pmRobin :
Argh. On the one hand, I like Steph as Robin. Mostly because she is snarky and wants to fly the Batplane. On the other hand, Bruce is not great. Oracle gets kick out of tormenting Steph. Cassie's rather cute, but since when was Tim a wet blanket? This is not a boy who sits around moping, this is boy that gets things *done*. On the other hand, the talk-down was pretty good at school, and we love Bernard. And someone give the artist a kick up the arse over Steph's hair. Really. That's one hell of a lot of gel to make it go spiky like that.
Teen Titans : mmmm.... middling. Not great, Raven I couldn't care less about, but Gar... :pets Gar: so very cute. Mind you, someone tell the artist/writer that that disc Cyborg is holding should be a CD, dammit. Not a fecking floppy. Also, Kon? Please stop living in denial.
Catwoman : :snuggles her otp of Bruce/Selina: So. Damn. Cute. Last issue was so stupid it wasn't true, as temples and mystic cat gods really don't fit the new gritty East End tone of the comic, but this one was a nice break. Especially with Selina being realistic about the fact that Bruce comes along occasionally but the Bat pulls him back in pretty quickly. But Holly! Hee! 'Bruce and Selina? *Again*? Well, guess some things never change.'
