And yes, it never fails that the stuff you spend maybe one or two snatched moments on is the stuff you get the mountains for, as opposed to the stuff you agonised over. dolores is to thank for grmmar and story-pushing, and megolas did characterisation whilst I tormented her for not picking up The Grey King, the best of the DIR series and the one that mentions most of Bran's characteristics. Not to mention the fact that he's albino. Though as I did say to Dol, that while yes, Will has the superpowers and the main-protagonist of the series factor, he's the one described as ordinary looking, while Bran is the Mary Sue.

Works dinner v. nice. Most odd to go to one of these where everyone - but everyone has a degree, is working through one, is working through their masters, etc. Which means scary amount of intelligent conversation. We were discussing periods in history and the meaning of certain laws and third world aid money. Hell of a lot of fun, but still 'wheh?'.
