That ten things meme plus the day
Feb. 22nd, 2005 10:49 pmEr. I really had a fairly normal life. This is the only one I can think of :
Nicked lettuce off Warren Ellis' plate while we teamed up to explain slash to other comics fen in a pub.
Spent day helping dad move offices. First, 2 hour drive to Ikea to get some lights, shelving and a couple of other bits. 2 hour drive back. Reasons 5-78 why I prefer Dad's company on car trips than mum's - decent conversation and he shares the same basic music/radio tastes as me. Radio 1 is preferred unless there's something funny on Radio 4, like Just a Minute. Radio 5 when there's a match on. Galaxy or other local :shudder: when Radio 1 has DJs of Doooooooom (ie, too irritating to live - Colin and Edith (Edith is fine, Colin lives ina mememememe world and cancels out all positive Edith points) and bloody Scott or Sara Cox) on. 2 hour trip back to Guildford, screw the shelving and lamps together at new office, go back to old office, cart all his computer equipment downstairs, including the A1 plotter of doom (think seismic printer) get it into car, take it all out of car and dump it in new office for him to put away once the removals men have been round. Hour and a half drive back. I think the travel knackered me most.
And now, second half of Our Mutual Friend.
