Started jogging again
Aug. 17th, 2005 12:30 amAnd every fucking time I forget the muscle strain through every part of my thighs. Even my bloody groin muscles hurt from jogging on sunday. Still, at least I don't have aching bum muscles, like I did last time I started again. Deciding to do it every two days, unless I suddenly decide that I want to.
Reasons for starting : well, aside from my ongoing hatred of my legs and thighs (you wouldn't know from the amount I show 'em off - just suffice it to say I'm not a big fan and I can't get knee high boots to fit me, they're way too stocky, I just learned at a very young age that I was going to show off practically everything, fuck body issues), it's totally shallow. Yup, it's for a costume. If you're going to wear a Kylie outfit, slightly toned thighs with less dimples would be nice.
Mind you, discovered that am fitter than thought, and fitter than the last time I started. And I really don't count the half hour's walk in bits to and from work each day. Can push self to fifteen minutes on day two for first half of jog, and also managed to jog most of the way up New Hill (again, in bits), which I have *never* managed. (think steep as fuck) Now I just need to keep this up. Though am dreading the point when it starts getting too dark to do this in the evenings, because that means mornings, as there are no showers at work to do this at lunchtime in Regents Park as you see so many workers doing.
Got the London Cast recording of the musical of the Disney Beauty and the Beast film yesterday, was amazed at how I was practically word and tone perfect on it. You worry when you're internally muttering 'they need to go higher on that bit, and that voice should be more hysterical, dammit' during the marketplace scene on one line. Watched film tonight. Discovered am practically scene, dialogue and move perfect too, as I knew every damn move and screen shot. Still best Disney movie *evar*. (not to mention it's Beauty and the Beast, aka the fairytale where the heroine has a brain, kicks arse and they actually *learn* to like and love each other, which also contains no necrophiliac princes. :smiles sweetly: Why yes, I have issues with Snow White, wherever did you get that idea?) For those of you who know of my John Barrowman obsession, he sings 'If I Can't Love Her' from the musical *much* better and more powerfully and more obsessive than the bloke from the London Cast recording. :wails: Why did I never go see this when it was on? ...oh yeah, I was a bit young to go on my own.
