Catch-up

burntcopper: (bsg boring)
Okay, not been writing on lj my fascinating life for the last week or so due to 'meh'-ness.

But I have been doing stuff, honest, beyond trying to stab my plotbunnies.

Squeed over Rodney and John and Teyla and Ronon in SGA. That show is just all about the squee and the bouncy and 'dear god, even the writers are shippers...' (Jack/Daniel are just friends compared to McShep). Also. Teyla and Ronon are so hot for each other I'd be bloody surprised if they *didn't* shag during the latest ep.

Went 'geeeeyahhhhh' at BSG. This show? This show is trying to kill us. Michelle Forbes is fantastic, as is Tricia Helfer. What DO YOU MEAN WE HAVE TO WAIT TIL JANUARY??????eleventy-one!!!!

SG-1. Dear fucking god. I tend to watch eps in twos, due to trying to catch up. This one, I watched five mins of ep 9. Yawned. fast-forwarded, pausing occasionally. Ep 10, even more fast-forwarding. I suggest hieing yourself down to your nearest DIY store, buying a pot of Dulux magnolia emulsion, and placing some on the walls instead. It's more exciting. Seriously. I've nevere been so bored and unimpressed in my life. Felt like sporking my eyes out. Watched SGA's 'Childhood's End' to rejuvenate self and watch Rodney be tormented by small children as cheer-up.

Have to catch up on Lost, House, Kitchen Confidentail, Supernatural and Numb3rs.

Meets:

Prime was fun, and rather relaxed even though I spent a large amount of stewarding running around. B&B much nicer than Norbreck. Kill Norbreck for not getting licences past 1am. bastards. They *knew* we asked for the disco until at least 2am. Green Fairy is the most recognised costume I ever had - walked through the bar and got 'Green Fairy!' cries from people. Also boggles at sheer amount of sparkles. Each night, part of costume covering butt got smaller.... (Cabaret, where I had to wear hotpants rather than the correct shorts due to having lost weight, then Daisy Duke) Costume parade... mix of 'oh dear god *why*?, cool kiddie costumes and a few decent ones. Talks : Armin was great, insisted on difficult, probing questions on sunday, so there were things about Actors Guild, Shakespeare, all kinds. Less Buffy questions on day two. Neil Roberts is, as always, fabulous, and had a packed hall. Missed James and George's first ones, and feel a tad sorry for them since they had to share Sunday's with the Church of the Eleventh Finger's Communion ceremony. (I am now officially Sister Heather for getting Poop Jonathon to reveal what he was wearing under the kilt.) Though they did a fabulous queueing imitation prior to Jonathan coming on. Taz and I now own Winona. And you don't. She is ours, all ours. (okay, and any Peacekeeper's, but we have Winona.)

Pub meet was also Liz's birthday, which was silly and fun and more silly. As are all pub meets.

Scar is now fading to a faint silver line on chest and a darker brown on stomach.

Pride and Prejudice. Off to swoon and gibber and drool. Dad hasn't been able to stop talking about it. Go see. Now.

Goal. Not bad, footie not as good as Bend it Like Beckham, but they had Saint Alan Shearer appearing in passing several times, with one appearance by Becks and a few other Toon Army players. It also shows that being a Newcastle supporter is just as bad for you when watching fictional matches as it is when watchign real ones. A little too much in the way of aspirational and dad-focussed speeches from the main character (all the other actors, being English and mostly northern, looked vaguely embarrassed), but then he is American and from LA at that. Decent ST. I am also going to hell. It is wrong and bad to slash Newcastle United platers, even fictional ones. Even fictional ones played by Alessandro Nivola. (seriously, you just got the impression that he really, really would rather like to shag his idealistic little roommate.) This isn't even handbasket. This is lock-self-in-room and take fifty lashes and then pour salt on the wounds whilst watching Teletubbies and Crossroads punishment wrong.

Gathering bits for Saffron costume. You may have heard my whoops on seeing a particular screencap that she's wearing jeans. Got the cloth for the jacket, have to make that and filch biker boots or New Rocks off someone, then get some cloth to use for the sash. Next saturday, off to Shepherd's Bush to get cloth for Indian costume. Somehow I feel it might be rather easy....
