It is insanely late. We have to move our stuff at work tomorrow to a new area. Apparently this means getting a nicer printer, but we have to walk further to the kitchen and loos and less in the way of natural light, plus, hotter in summer.

Teyla top all cut and pinned and what have you. Read ridiculous amounts of ces' Due South fic - damn you rageprufrock. This is the reason am still up, started reading fic. Probably have to start sewing tomorrow. The bottom part of the top is going to be a right arse, since it's three parts, not to mention hiding any darts. I suspect them of using some slight stretchy material in the show. Everything else should easy, though. Still, nothing like spending two hours cutting and fitting and trying on and pinning and re-fitting and figuring out how the fuck to get a detail on right. Ah, costuming. Still, nice top it will be.

Signs that you're reading a Gunbunny fic

1. The beginning paragraph will almost certainly contain an inner monologue about something that has nothing to do with the fic.

2. The use of whatever the tense / grammar whatsit that is starting a sentence without a 'he/she/it' bit.

3. Englishisms. Lots of them. And due to this, no American character will ever wear anything but jeans because I can't bring myself to use the word 'pants' for trousers.

4. Lots of dialogue and banter, or else a fic that contains no dialogue at all.

5. If there is a plot that involves two characters falling for each other, one or both will be completely fucking oblivious.

6. Mostly told from third person, multiple POVs.

7. The fic's title is bloody weird and normally comes from a line in the fic.

8. Often a character will be obsessed with getting a certain item of rather mundane food. Tea, Jaffa cakes, bacon sandwiches....
