How would Rodney McKay treat you?

megolas had this convo with me as I was expressing my feedback joy and she was trying to not-do her not-dissertation whilst I was walking to the tube from work.

Rodney would hold us in contempt. Unless we managed to weasel ourselves out of it. :g:

Meg's degree? It may say BSc, but that is part anthropological, with a heavy portion of literary. *Soft* sciences. She'd have to take over the networks and comms systems and lie through her teeth about the anthro side.

Me? I have no hope of redemption. Not only is my degree an art degree, not only am I heavily into anthropology, archaeology and so on, but... I'm by nature a biologist. I understand chemistry up to a point. GCSE level. Same with maths. (most of which I've forgotten) I got kicked out of maths 'A' level six weeks in. Physics? When I was *being forced to actually study it* I could only just remember the speed equation. Biology has always been my geeking subject.

Then Meg pointed out that Rodney would like me at first, at least superficially.

Me : ?
:brain clicks into gear:
Me : Oh my god. I'm blonde and I have decent tits.

Yup. Not just contempt but contempt with a side order of 'dumb blonde'. Maybe I could flatten him with the sheer amount of white noise I can generate.

At work, Jo from Editorial Assistant area was showing around a new girl. Got to our area. 'These are Editorial Production, and they deal with the authors after we've finished with them.'
Turns to me. 'This is Heather. Her job is getting the articles live and shouting at us if we get the formatting wrong.'
Me, raising an eyebrow, since I have never shouted. The only thing I shout at is the computer when it won't load. I just send sarcastic emails to them. 'I also make coffee.'
'She's a sci-fi fanatic.'
'True.'

And then they were off, leaving me still with eyebrow raised. I swear, no-one else got introed like that. So, my rep in Ed Asst section is 'scary and into sci-fi'. Hmm. Maybe this explains why they're always horribly apologetic and begging in their emails and requests when they've forgotten something.
