flat hunting dilemma
Jul. 15th, 2006 08:13 pmOkay, been hunting. Three so far have just been rooms with access to kitchen and bathroom. Which my newly acquired standards are going 'er... no.'
Second two? :wibble:
First- flat in Camden, really nice, lounge, bathroom, decent sized room, wireless, two minutes from Camden road station, which is ten minutes from camden high street. Walkable from work - about twenty minutes or so, I think.
Second - big house in Wood Green, two minutes from station. It's gutted and being completely re-done, but loads of space and they're furnishing it to be ready for August 1st. Plus garden. 15 mins on Piccadilly line, zone 3.
They're both at the 400 quid/month mark once bills and council tax are factored in. I have to reply within two days. HELP. Any advice on area? go for close plus camden or big with garden?
Although put sun cream on, am worried may be a little pink on shoulders. Hello, aloe vera, come to mamma. Though legs, I'm afraid you don't get off that easy. You're being waxed in a bit.
Wandered into Lloyd Park after wondering what the flags they've been putting up for the last few days are when I got back. World Party/Croydon festival, it turns out. Lots of people, food stands, massage tents, local charities and information on things like volunteering and recycling, and a funfair. My god I was tempted by the disco waltzer, only am trying to save money any way I can. I have practically no resistance against disco waltzers and their attempts to make you throw up and scream. Think may be first time in history I've ever managed it. Also? De La Soul were playing on main stage. I was just about to ask who was playing, as these people were fun and the audience was massive when they launched into 'Me Myself and I'.
