leather and costumes :sigh:

jamjar have had to haul each other away from the many pretty and shiny things on display that we don't have the money or space for. On the other hand, found a stall in Spitalfields that sells skins cheaply in many colours.
Paid TV licence. Yelped at price hike since I last paid it. Seriously, I remember it as around the 85 quid mark back in '98. It's now 131. Ouchouchouch.
Bought new set of sheets. Sulked a tad at the price since the mattress doesn't fit the John Lewis single fitted sheets, so had to buy a separate flat sheet as well as the set and another pillowcase. (I'm a two pillows person.)
Sewing leather by hand? slooooooooooooow. 45 mins to sew on the buckle and strap to skirt. Going to have to cut parts of it down - it's never going to be a straight hem skirt, but it needs figuring out.
Fortunately, the leather I bought for the belt pouchy thing is thinner, so hopefully I can use the sewing machine on it. If desperate, I'm going to punch holes and use the leather cord as binding.

And after Discworld is done, I have to make the leather top from the end of Our Mrs Reynolds. (after which, my collection of Saffron outfits will be more than anyone else's. mwhahahaha.)
