sorting stuff musings
Aug. 31st, 2006 02:51 pmWell, aside from trying to get it through Camden Council's head that the roadside recycling bins don't do cardboard, and that's why I want a doorstep box... (turns out that the paper ones will take thin cardboard like cereal boxes, but not the big brown boxes)
Note to self : need to bully flatmates into recycling.
Anyway, I'd been meaning to transfer what I could in the way of cds into the cd folders to create some space, so there went random cds of eps, stuff people had recorded for me, those with ridiculously cracked and broken cases like LA Confidential and Garbage 2.0 and so on. I had been planning to transfer as many others as possible, but this stopped when I started seeing ones I'd never listened to and almost certainly never would. The winnowing process began. Out went the Iggy Pop, Madonna's Music, Adiemus IV (double - my first copy fell down the back of the computer and I thought I'd lost it)and then I started doing the '...I like one song on this album. One. Fricking. Song.' which accounted for several. Discovered I had the Braveheart ST. Cue 'ewwwwwww!' cries. (I've developed severe, severe Mel Gibson allergies, as several of you know) This resulted in a pile of over 20 cds left for flatmates to copy or nick as they wished. Think I'll go through, copy the songs I want and burn those to cd in categories.
Though it was amusing when they were going 'ooo, cds! and then Silke cried 'ewwww!' Poked head out of room. She was holding the Braveheart ST and explaining that she had Mel Gibson phobia due to Passion of the Christ. :snicker:
