post of the weekend
Jan. 21st, 2007 05:16 pmtoday has mostly been spent doing household chores. Laundry x3, recycling, the loo, swept and dusted the main room and hall (technically this is part of the weekly chores rota - the loo being my job this week, but since two of the housemates never do cleaning, I guess I might as well do it each week.) Generally vaguely satisfied. Went food shopping, got into convo at till with the people behind me about fruit and veg portions after they spotted the banner that said an innocent smoothie was 2x. See all 3 of us look at our innocent cartons on the belt and went 'we just like 'em for the taste'. And then proceeded to be smug because we all had lots of fruit and veg in our piles.
Yesterday was market (the samphire is back in stock and the chorizo and apples people are back! wheeeee!) and pubmeet. General discussion of Blakes' 7 and the stupidity of a large number of posters on the Horizon boards. I just sit there in bemusement, having never watched it and thus being in a minority amongst the pubmeet lot. But still, interesting to listen to. Then they segued onto set visits. Friday night, got invaded after midnight by
megolas who'd been at UCL A&E and couldn't get back to Camden due to foot being in pain and all the trains having gone.
Watching 'Sunday'. Elizabeth out on a date is rather sweet, as is Teyla kicking back and relaxing. They should have more city-people interaction.
Eating lychees. It is a good thing. They're like juicy sweeties.
Finally allowed myself near the play.com sale since birthday/xmas period now over. Enigma and Ever After and Amy Winehouse and the two other series of hamish macbeth, you *will* be mine.
oh, and insta-rec : in which Hermione Granger meets Torchwood. No, really, it's really *good*. Well-thought out, good fusion of worlds, good characterisation in little moments. Also a prequel linked.
