I know no obsession....

A few things've come up in the last months in the way of headdesks, definitions, etc.
Hispanic is one of the 'it does not mean what you think it means' - should that go under culture or slang?
Is it worth having a section for 'historical events that you do not touch with a bargepole unless you have researched the fuck out of it because we get very, very touchy about it'?
Racism or racial spread worth it or should I just keep it to a general comment bit on immigration and what you're *likely* to find? (the rant someone once had about harry potter and torchwood being racist because they didn't have enough minority representation still rankles to this day, but I don't know if it's worth putting something in there like that in case of rant.)
(btw,
katemonkey, I came across your comment on a messageboard where you couldn't remember how you'd contributed - you were the original american test monkey going 'what the hell does *that* mean?')
Oh dear. How to know you may be a wee bit *too* familiar with a dance troupe. Got The Car Man on dvd, then went on imdb to see who was playing who. And then started wailing 'whaddya mean Michaela's not playing Lana? She's *wasted* as the club owner! Saranne is okay, I suppose, but Michaela has far better chemistry with Brick Shithouse and slinks better!' (never, er, mind that Michaela wasn't as senior a member of the troupe in 2001 as she is now. I'm being irrationally pouty over my favourites. On the other hand, all the boys are in there - Scott, Adam, Will and BS) The fact that probably only
wiccachik will get what what I'm talking about is neither here nor there. Er. Taz, was it Scott or Adam who played victim-boy when we saw it? (ETA :neither, it were Sam Archer) I'm vaguely trepidatious because I can't remember how good Will Kemp is at bringing the gay - the most recent thing I saw him in was Highland Fling, in which the lead is completely bloody straight.
