Query for the old-skool Trek fandom people :
May. 27th, 2009 05:26 pmeveryone in fandom knows that the main pairing was Kirk/Spock. *Duh*. However, in reboot 'verse, Kirk/McCoy is seriously rivalling it.
So, query from a person who never read the old skool fic, and only casually watched an ep here and there of TOS. (mostly in hotel rooms, it seems) Was there any support/obviousness for Kirk/Bones in TOS? of course they got slashed - as everyone knows, the slasher's first defence is 'Were they in the same scene? The same film/show? THEY CAN BE SLASHED.' Not to mention, I have vague memories of Bones being a bit gruff and ratty. How does his character compare with new Bones?
