right, up to 18k as of saturday evening. Of course, I spent half the day writing about one word every ten minutes, then the bunnies struck an hour before we had to leave the house for fireworks... I had no idea trying to write bouncer/drifting into illegal works would be so difficult.

sunday spent making notes and getting to London for xmas recording of Cabin Pressure in company of [personal profile] fairyd123, which was v. funny, we turned up 3:15 ish, she got told to bugger off by surly receptionist, but we met Teh Cumberbatch in street on his way in - she spotted him (hair dyed luminous sandy colour for War Horse), said 'Excuse me', he was nice enough to stop for a couple of fangirls and whilst signing her dvd, had no idea where to put his bike helmet, so cue me as spare pair of hands. Yes, LJ. I have handled Benedict Cumberbatch's helmet. And no that is not a euphemism.

He's not sure when they're going to start filming Sherlock S2 as Martin is off doing his hairy-footed hobbit thing (his description). He is so sweet and soooo nice. And doesn't look that tall in person.

Adjourned to Paperchase for coffee, got back 4:20, about 40 people in queue already. oh well, still got seats and stood chatting in queue for the next couple of hours. Drill Hall had no idea about fandom's willingness to turn up early and in volume. (many of the old hands turned up 'on time' and were turned away according to twitter). cast - John Finnemore (arthur, also writes it), Stephanie Cole, Roger Allam and Teh Cumberbatch were very funny and very awesome and for the most part didn't screw up. Will be interesting to see if they go with 'sodding' or 'ruddy' for broadcast, though.

Sadly I didn't go into the bar after where they were willingly signing/ photoing. oh well...

Mostly finished the notes for Slices of Life 01 - the chapter that is snapshots charting the pair getting to present day - him into criminal (not quite sure if he's still doing his bouncing job by end of that point), her working with MI-13 (that's actually to set up other characters more than anything).

Trying to debate how callous the cops who're his handlers are, since I have to write up the 'oh shit oh shit I just broke someone's arm on order' and then call in to update them with progress - see what their reaction is. In the meantime I've managed to do that classic of frantically researching of details and then realising they're not relevant... (in this case, when someone can go back to work post preg and realised I can just say 'she'd only been back on full duties for 2 weeks') After this, they MEET! Actually MEET! Surely not.... And then i can write the fabulously titled 'Werewolf Hustle' chapter, where he gets to re-meet the MI-13 werewolf bloke who he first ran into in the first chapter... Fingers crossed for not getting stuck at that chapter since I still haven't worked out the details of precisely what the case is or how he'd insert/break it...
