Things done:

Signed up to be an extra in James Moran's Cockneys vs Zombies. One of those 'oh, fuck it, why not?' things. Details here It looks gloriously silly if nowt else.

cursing firefox for losing all my tabs on sunday night. no, do not suggest another browser. it will not help. So going through the 600+ tabs in history...

wishing brain was not engaged with the post-PC verse, aka the one mostly from the POV of Edmund's Calormene husband Jafar (don't ask, Tisroc went 'peace offering, scary Pevensie warlords from history. Son, STFU. You're being useful for once in your life.'). Now pondering what the practices of ward of court-taking (ie, hostages for good behaviour) were in the Renaissance era, which is the period I'm basing it on. my problem is the last time I heard of this happening in the English court was Henry VII (my knowledge of UK history crawls to a halt early James I/VI) and have no idea about Spanish/Portugese or Arabian practices of the time. :headdesk: (essentially I'm pondering about how much Caspian and Jafar would freak out if the Pevensies started pondering it in their hearing/Lucy turns up on the back of an eagle with a ten-year-old in tow. As Bedlamsbard pointed out some time ago, what the hell do you think Corin was?)

:sigh: need to write other stuff. with plots.

Also as am still slowly reading Rosemary Sutcliff's Eagle of the Ninth trilogy (one chapter on tube each way) realised I can't remember a single book she wrote from a female POV. Which makes me wonder what proportion I've written from female POV - probably less than male, given how much slash I write.

Work continuing bullshitting as usual, though glad we're more shielded than other depts due to postponement.
