burntcopper: (slashers)

Oh, yeah, colour you surprised. :g:

Spend weekend up in Hull getting pissed, shopping for food in places like Nettos :full body shudder: doing a bit of partying - during which I kept bemoaning the fact that on the towel dare it was my towel that got used. Am a tad posessive of towel. Window shopped shoes. Sat in park eating lunch with added line dancing brigade on the other side of said park. Had large amounts of fun, and got stuck at Doncaster station for a long time on the way back as signalling at Newcastle was screwed up. Also mocked many a film and piece of tv - no piece of media is safe from sci-fi geeks, as we just can't stop reacting to it. Except Donnie Darko, which we watched in darkness and silence and ended up going '....weh?'. Firefly had cheers, The Fast and the Furious had 'Gay! Plot? You require a plot? Gay! Sweetie, stop deluding yourself, he's using you to get to your brother. Ooo, Michelle Rodriguez in oil-stained zest *pretty*.' Krull was a masterpiece of early eighties fantasy cinema, where there was mountain scaling, bad choice in tight striped trews, mullets with plaits, the Ickle Todd Carty Brigade, and general full-scale mocking. It was so *bad*. They have laser guns but they require horses? Designer weapon-thingy! Gucci's finest, I'm telling you. Darling, you have no idea. That's clearly Versace. ...You're right. I can see the Donatella touch. Scale that mountain in ten minutes! Yes! You can do it!'

And then me and [livejournal.com profile] celiaka introduced a large proportion of the rest of them to The Sentinel. This has been getting slowly more slashy as the eps go by. We didn't expect an ep like this, though.... Dear God.

We were soundly mocking bits, pointing out the slashiness, and then they showed Jim being woken up early in the morning by voices in the stairwell, getting out of bed in boxers, then waking up Blair, sticking a hand over his mouth and then going 'shh' about an inch from his face. See vest and boxer clad Blair and merely boxer clad Jim answer the door, Blair pressed up against Jim's back and clinging to him. With bed hair. And the tv reporter going 'Sorry to disturb you', implying that she knew exactly what she'd woken them up from. See room drop its jaws at blatant gayness. More slashiness, including a Bodie/Doyle moment of groping bum as going up and down stairs, and Blair groping Jim's leg as they were trying to figure out some case details.

Today there was hurt/comfort 'Oh Jim! It hurts!', Blair getting tenderly patched up, and witnesses to murder staying at the loft to safeguard her. We know she had the bed in Blair's room to herself, and Blair was told throughout the ep to keep hands off. Yet there was no moaning from Blair about sleeping on the couch, so where do you think he slept, hmm? Lots of little moments of slashiness, and Jim is starting to do the touchy thing. A lot.

However, am quite glad that possible female interest (the witness) was Blair's, and thus clearly stated and referred to throughout the ep. We're used to horndog Blair and it's lucky that it wasn't Jim again, who I'm beginning to think just has no chemistry with women. Even so, witness was mostly doing the 'Blair is completely non-threatening as he has a boyfriend.' Also, interesting note. Blair is definitely taking the police work much more seriously than his academic stuff these days, as he's hanging around the police station a lot more and being naturally included in busts and cases.

Did parallel parking today. Went fine, just hoping that I don't get last time's curse in which I was never able to do it again. And it's so fucking hot it's not true.

'Oh Jim! It hurts!' while flat on his back with Jim leaning over him, mind you.
