Sep. 8th, 2003 11:06 pmI hate plot bunnies. They hit you with an idea, then run off in the other direction while you're only able to squeeze out a paragraph at a time. Specifically, my Sentinel!Gunn. (The White Room scene in 'Home' just called out to me.) Because I need to get that one finished before the new season starts. And I can't think of a damn plot. I'm writing the scenes of meeting and explainging and introducing, but plot? errrr.....
Sentinel today was alligators in the ventilation ducts of the PD, crazy people let loose by a social services strike, and Jim reading the first chapter of Blair's dissertation. See my eyes bug out at the slashiness of Jim being terribly pouty about it and Blair trying to defend it, Jim overreacting as usual... damn. Connor, if you'd been there, you'd have only had more evidence to your beliefs. Gator terribly amusing.
Managed to juggle my days off this week so I could have Thurs and Fri off for t' funeral in Newcastle. Turns out I was due for Thursday anyhoo, then wheedled with Ickle to get him to swop his Sunday shift for my Friday shift. Going up on Wednesday on train straight after work, then coming down Friday night.
Work was.. amusing. Had a fairly slow afternoon, to the point where Paul the Assistant Manager started playing with the bell we use to get people out of the back and serving customers in a BlockBusters stylee. "Can I have a P please Bob?"
