Was work. Got the warnings list I was expecting - things to change, bad habits. Basically it's learn the products and a couple of extras that can be fixed easily. Sunday is so damn quiet, it's not true. Added to the fact that apparently St. Giles Fair was on in Oxford, so very few customers. Sold some more SLRs - Steve commented on the fact that we sold no digital and one camcorder, but went far above our quota on SLRs. Two were even non-education related, and I explained all the functions and the concept of apertures and shutters and ISO speeds on film to people with not the first idea about it. Takes me back. :g: Also, today being very hot, and my bus getting in at least 40 mins before I was due to start work, me and this other girl sat on opposite ends of the benches in the middle of a ghost town (Reading before 10am on sunday - like pre-9am weekday but with 10% of the population) and dozed in the sun. If it was colder we'd have had to go to Coffee Republic and shelter, but as it was, just nice basking temperature.

Can't think how the hell to get my Chemistry A-level, as Reading College don't do chemistry. arrrgh. Seriously considering phoning up clearing and going 'this is what I've got, any suggestions?'. However, entering uni right now would so not be a good idea as need to earn more money to fund fees and living costs.

Typing up the newly re-jigged Sentinel!Gunn fic (what I've written since begging [livejournal.com profile] mimesere for help with bunnies - it works so much better if Wes and Gunn go to Cascade rather than the other way round. Plus, case framework for story! And it's far more amusing if Connor sits there with her gaydar, and the rest of Major Crimes goes 'That's it, pay up. Rafe wins with his bet that Sentinel-Guide pairs are required to be gay.' Plus H, Simon and Gunn so need to form the mutual admiration of Denzel and Samuel L Jackson society. You know they wanna. Lorne's appearance will now be by phonecall...

Have watched pilot ep of Dead Like Me, courtesy of [livejournal.com profile] mingmerciless. I am so in love with this show. It's pessimistic, it's got a great bit at the beginning about entry into the world of work, and it has Mandy Patinkin in it. You really can't go wrong with the spirit of Inigo Montoya.

Ooo. That does make more sense. Any sign of the lesser spotted plot bunny that holds an actual storyline in its little teeth?

And Dead Like Me in on sky one this Friday, right?

That's exactly what I've been thinking of doing recently, as I keep putting off the application thingy (for about 3 years now!) But I decided I wasn't quite prepared to drop my entire life in the space of two weeks. So instead my friends are planning to sit me down and force me to write a personal statement. It's like University Intervention, or something.

What are you hoping to go do? (if you don't my asking!)
