Wasn't it satisfying? I said "oh, I thought her secret Santa present would be from Tim and it would have a message in it," and it *did* and I cried happy tears. Yes, I am unduly moved by TV programmes.
Same here. I thought she'd go off with bastard boyfriend and I was going to mum, who's never watched it and was being introduced to it by dad and me 'they've always had a thing and they're just so right for each other and it's so sad because she's going off with the utter twat', and then we were watching the unthinkable - a woman liking David, and then she just appeared! I squeaked. And then bawled.
Along with watching it through your fingers because of the sheer embarassment and cringe-making of the rest of it. Damn Dawn's fiancee for letting Gareth know that Tim and Dawn were making gay jokes at his expense, humourless bastard that the fiancee was. But it was so cute when Gareth said that there'd always be a place for Dawn back at Wernham & Hogg and her absolute look of 'please god, don't be lying...'

Yeah, specially the Blind Date bit...

Lee'd just got so awful by this point, I assumed there was no way Dawn would be allowed to go off with him for ever and ever amen, so to speak. But it was The Office, so there was always that possibility ... which is exactly why the ending was so totally fabulous, of course.
