last bits afore Fusion

tirinar's, where there will be the last minute bits done like cuffs and hat thingies. Was dumping main costume bits into suitcase for tomorrow packing when I suddenly realised I hadn't seen my swordbelt loop. Cue frantic searching. No joy, had to hare downstairs to make a new one. ...I'm taking four separate pairs of shoes to Fusion that are just for costume purposes. Someone shoot me now. (two costumes on Friday)
Tomorrow : driving lesson, pack, grab food, money, and birthday pressie for Alex, *then* get to Tors'.
Thursday : more food, perhaps, drive up to Blackpool, register, settle into con mode and scowl about being stupid enough to do raffle.
Am currently re-playing the trailer for Kevin Kline's Delovely, biography of Cole Porter. *So* pretty. And as ever, every time I look at anything with 20s and 30s costuming, I wail 'why can't it be like that now?' Aside, of course, from the fact that I don't have the figure for it.
