Saw Serenity last night

burntcopperFirst, I had dinner and found new Wonder Woman jammies and went to Santa Fe's, due to there being 45 mins til the film, where I sat, drank cocktail, typed fic, and got hit on by forty something bloke who was asking why I was typing in a bar on friday night. This happens every fucking time. Fuck off, and be glad you weren't so persistent that I didn't make you read the porn.
Went cinema, where there was a huge standing Harry Potter poster. Looked and drooled over Viktor Krum, then a girl behind me said 'what teh fuck is she wearing?', pointing at Fleur's silver padded vest. I guessed it was tournament wear, she went 'yeah, but which bit? it's silly!' '...Dragons? Fireproof vest?' This was conceded to make good sense. Mad Eye Moody's eye was critiqued as not good enough, and also Harry's new quidditch outfit material. bleh. Turned out they were going to see Serenity - one fully paid up Browncoat dragging her mate.
Got in cinema, which was packed, found brother and mates had taken up a row and a half, so I sat behind them, found another Browncoat, we chatted, commented on the trailers (neither of us has the slightest desire to see Da Vinci code and both of us started humming the Universal theme, true film geekery) and discussed how aawesome Orange ads were. Then entire audience went silent, and proceeded to laugh, gasp or go 'eeep'. There was applause at the end from a large part of the audience, and then I failed to stop bouncing. So. Good. (although there were no little white boxes. :grumble: Must. See. Again.)
Now, must go shower and go Laura's for wedding prep.
