Bodie and Doyle ride again...

Hmm. Looking at latest reports on the remit of the new agency (though it's actually been going for a year already) of the Serious Organised Crime Agency (SOCA).

Soca amalgamates the National Crime Squad, the National Criminal Intelligence Service (NCIS), and investigators from Customs and the Home Office's Immigration Service.

...Doesn't that sound somewhat like CI5 to anyone else? A fusion between MI5 and coppers sounds awfully like CI5 to me. Memos may have to be sent out to the agents about innapropriately tight trousers, perms, and bonnet rolling on cars.

Hehe.

They would make life "hell" for criminal "Mr Bigs", Mr Blair said.

Shouldn't that be "Messrs Big"???

"The level of sophistication, the level, frankly, of brutality with which many of these gangs operate today means that we have to do it differently,"

Stop! You are surrounded by armed bastards!

I was thinking 'this is going to be more like the West Midlands Serious Crime Squad with serious office admin skillz0rz.'

FREEZE! SOCA! You're ni-- Hang on, I've just got to fill out these forms... In triplicate.

So, more like NewPros only without the SEALs and teh ghey but with lots of ballpoint pens.

Just so long as it's Cowley, Bodie and Doyle, not Malone, Curtis and Keel!
