Sounds like pretty dodgy science. An increase in flooding over 10 years is hardly indicative of a long-term trend. Climate change is a slow process - IPCC estimates have been homing in on a most likely prediction of about 2°C increase in global temperature by 2100. The short-term trend has actually been slightly cooling since 1998! So the fact there's been more snow/rain/whatever in the last year than 10 years ago really doesn't amount to much.

Read the Lomborg book, it's most illuminating, not least as to what an utter charlatan Al Gore is!
