flat and superman and ed's diner

well, after discourse with many, I've rung up the camden flat and am seeing it again tomorrow, hopefully meeting the other flatmates. (there's nothing like one person going 'I live there. There was a murder at the end of my street recently.' and another going 'shithole!'. Also, the other big plus is the bugger all spending on transport in Camden.)

Completely confused people by trying to explain the history of the Robins. With side-trips into Kon, Roy, and a few others. We only got about halfway through Tim and a simultaneous discussion of Steph before having to leave for Superman Returns.

SR? OMIGOD SQUEE. Jam, Derry and I want the cinematographer to breed to ensure their genes are not wasted. Brandon Routh is fantastic as Supes. Didn't get much of an opinion on him as Clark since so little was spent in the Clark suit. Kevin Spacey is so much fun as Lex it should be made illegal. Kate Bosworth is actually pretty good as Lois. I'm not bothering to recount the rest of it, but it's worth it for cinematography *alone*. It NEEDS to be seen on big screens. iIt was so made for it.

Oh, all right, it's just one little cut-tag...
Jimmy? Crush on Clark.
Jason? :pats him on head for being observant, in most amusing non-dialogue bit:
Lois wants to shag Supes, not interested in Clark.
Richard White wants to shag Clark, not interested in Superman.
Clark is clearly interested in Richard. Hmm, OT3 anyone?
Krrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrryptonite!
Richard, Jason... the kid with the camera phone is clearly Tim.
By the end of the film, Clark still hasn't found a place to stay. I foresee Richard offering their spare room.

Pianos. Little over-bred hairy lap-dogs. AHAHAHAHAHA.
You don't kill off competent minions!
If all of Krypton was that brittle, no wonder it exploded. Also, Lex, brittle rock is not prime real estate. You need earth, or at the very least rock that won't shatter when you try to put foundations into it.

Clark/Richard/Lois is SO my new OT3. Zomg, they would be wonderful. And it would have been so easy to go the usual route of 'let's make Richard a total dick so that the audience will hate him', but they didn't -- he was a wonderful, sweet, brave guy who genuinely loved his girlfriend and her kid. I adore that both he and Lois got to be heroic in their own rights, as well; that was so great.

Have buy-one-get-one-free passes to see it at the nearest IMAX again, and Mum hasn't seen it yet. *cackles* I know what we're doing on one of my days off this week.

I've seen it three times already. Squeee! Also, Jimmy is Clark's fwiend!!!!!!!!! So cute. And Clark is so homeless. Awww. I've been fangirling like this for weeks :)

In all fairness, it's not like he wanted the competent minions to die. It was that falling rock that did it.

maybe, but it still shows carelessness on his part. Would you trust this man with your delicate and hard-to-obtain possessions?

Camden? Oooo...

I see that gleam of shopping lust in your eye, young man, don't think I don't.

Also, dammit, when does the second series of Rome come out? I want to see the rise of the scarily competent little bastard!
