burntcopperLooked through the titles of my Stargate vids I'm due to sell in a few days time on ebay. Found one I'd heard about, where they travel back to 1969. Had headache from comp and the jaw tendons were playing up again (aka painpainpainpain), thought I could do with 45 minutes on the sofa. Especially considering the pic of Teal'c on the back in tie-dye and a semi-afro. So, watched. Fell about laughing due to the scene where they're locked up in holding in the mountain that is again a missile silo.
Picture this : Soldier asks in Russian "Are you Soviet spies?"
Daniel answers "Nyet."
See Jack just groan and me fall about laughing, especially when Daniel asks what he did wrong....
Jack getting questioned by the brass and telling them his name is Captain James T. Kirk of the starship Enterprise, and then saying a little later that it's not his real name, actually it's Skywalker. Luke Skywalker. I had to rewind that part just so I could fall over again.
The van of hippies they hitch a lift from, with Teal'c telling them the mark of Apophis is a mark of slavery, and the hippies going 'I dig', plus Daniel and Jack telling they're from a planet a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.... mwhahaha. Oh, and Daniel as a German archaeologist trying to get info out of a much younger Catherine... oh, hysterical. Though you'd think she'd be able to tell it was a fake (though not bad) German accent considering she *is* German (evil lazy tv people giving her an american accent).
