darkisrising for those who missed that fact.
Watched The Good Girl last night. Not a bad movie. Very quiet, and my god I'm glad I got out of retail. The film really emphasises the mind-crushing boringness of it at times. Everyone does good performances, and John C Reilly once again perfects his 'boring, ignored husband' routine. I remember the reviews, several of which were very admiring of how she'd made her body language completely different from Rachel in Friends - constant slouch, defensive, shuffling feet, completely knackered and so on. Scary how much this actually makes a difference in someone, emphasised a line about mid-film where she asks her husband if he thinks she's pretty. And I know normally you'd be going 'duh, movie star, no-one looks like that in real life!', but the way it's shot, the way she spends the entire movie with the different body language and posture, no make up and so on, she actually looks very, very normal. Someone you'd think 'huh, pretty', but not stand-out in any way.
Physio session #2 today - was supposed to be tuesday, but she phoned in sick.
Going parents' tonight to pick up winter clothing and some other bits. No books, at least not until I've got round to getting to Ikea and getting that shelving. They're then driving me back in the morning, so they can pick up the desktop for Dad's work - he's going to use it as a spare computer for anyone who comes in, or work experience people, since it's got XP and so on, plus a good 9 months of antivirus left on it.
And I still can't think of anything for Sloopy's party tomorrow. auuuugh.
