Torchwood the musical!

burntcopperplease note, spoilers for ep 12. Biiiiig spoilers for ep 12. All inspired by finding out one of the main one-ep wonders also sings.
...we so need Torchwood the musical. We could have flashbacks to the 1940s, where Jack sings about wanting to be that man while Other!Jack sings about grasping the moment in a counterpoint with hints of how he's sure he's doomed. Tosh on chorus of 'omigod they're cute' (also known as the 'where can I put the cctv cameras' verse) while the trainee squad sing the other lines of the chorus of 'does anyone know what the fuck is going on/who does that bloke from secret service think he is'
Other songs would include :
the Owen/Gwen/Rhys triangle, which is known as the love vs. sex song, with Rhys' solo later of 'I don't know who she is anymore' and Owen and Gwen doing the later duet of 'fuck this I'm depressed(Owen)/I must give this up I love Rhys (Gwen).
Ianto's two numbers - one about the futility of caring for Lisa, with 'oh shit I'm flirting with my boss/I must distract him' undertones, and then his song in the second act where he and Jack are getting into a relationship and Ianto just being... happy and flirty. 'I know I said I'd kill him but sod that, he makes me laugh'.
Tosh has a song about doing her job and the happy moments of joy and idealism she finds, but being alone, jealousy of Gwen getting Owen, finding Mary and being betrayed but finding fulfilment and the ability to go on through her work with added hope.
Jen has pointed out the group number, where they're standing in different parts of the stage, doing their jobs in different parts of the hub (Ianto in reception/kitchen, Jack in office, Tosh at workstation, Owen in the morgue, etc), about how they're so unappreciated with added snarky comments from other members as the follow-on to the next person's part, sometimes singing over the others.
This would be far more fun than Once more with feeling's plot about depression....
In other news, I just laughed myself sick at a Jack/Ianto vid on youtube to Bad Touch (the 'you and me baby ain't nothing but mammals' song) with hand clamped over mouth since am at work. Watched ep 12's declassified on the bbc site (oh, embedded flash movies, we love you so much more than shitty streaming realplayer) and... oh. :melts all over again and loves on Matt Rippy, aka 1940s!Jack: Seriously, Catherine Tregenna, I love you *so much*.
ep 12 has been a bad influence on my music tastes. I'm currently skipping to all the ridiculously sappy songs on my JB playlist that I usually skip over. I'm even listening to *Hero*, for god's sake, the one I normally make spewing noises to...
