I feel like scum
Jul. 15th, 2007 11:07 pmJust so you know.
There was a flat that was really nice, the other two liked it rather a lot, we put a placeholder deposit on it - and I got complete hives and cold feet due to sheer distance it is from central london (streatham, which = 1 hour commute. further than croydon, which I was previously living at). As the other two (and parents, after I called them up feeling like shit for doing this) pointed out, it's not worth going ahead with it if I'm going to go stark staring insane and end up hating the world.
So I'm paying them back their share of the deposit, we'll keep looking, I'm also going to be looking for flatshares, and if all else fails, move back to Reading and commute for a bit until I find somewhere.
Let this be a lesson unto me : don't hand over a placeholder deposit until you're absolutely sure.
Ringing black katz in morning to say they can keep the deposit.
