nano plot has been achieved!
Oct. 23rd, 2007 12:35 am...now I just need to do the research to get the details right. ack.
Due to conversing with Lou and mutual dribbling over Peter Wingfield whilst I was making a weak and feeble attempt to catch up with Holby City (I'm 3-4 eps behind), plot was sort of worked out for the Arthurian (it was decided that having some iteration of Morgan Le Fay or summat being the obstacle to Arthur's rise to power and trying to keep the country together in face of more vikings and invasion as the empire gradually crumbles (having abandoned Britain a few years previous - story takes place around 415 AD) would be the main bit). And then I presented her with the WW2 vague idea about Jack and the Resurrection Glove and Nazis (with added Jeremy Northam as his character in Enigma For Special Journalistic Purposes) and asked for help with plot.
After having to regularly stop her doing This :
Heather : anyway : plot! help!
Heather (23:06:48): (and Jack wants to point out that he had adventures with Professor Jones in the 1930s that involved Nazis. excuse me while I kick him.)
Lou (23:07:25): Um. So, Jack Harkness, Methos and Jeremy Northam... and Indiana Jones are in a box....
Heather (23:08:02): :dowses you in the north atlantic and holds you under until your brain comes back online:
Lou (23:08:18): *splutters*
Lou (23:08:23): IN A BOX!
Heather (23:08:27): Warren Mitchell NAKED!
Lou (23:08:35): And I'm back
Heather (23:08:36): ALF GARNETT! NAKED!
Lou (23:08:43): Alright, alright!!!!!!
Lou (23:09:15): But really - if you could end up with them in a cell for some reason....
:shakes head: See what I had to deal with?
(I once saw Warren Mitchell in King Lear. They got naked at one point. It has since been a very, very good image for getting my brain back online when I need to.)
Anyway. The Nazis have got a lead on the Resurrection Glove, (not knowing, of course, that it only works for thirty seconds and once at that), UK intelligence find out about this, and That Bastard Harkness turns up. And seems to be the only one who knows where it might be and where they'll be headed.
Cue flashback to 1930s when Jack was trying to stop Torchwood mucking around with it in either, er, North Africa or Turkey (help! research needed!) and of course, added Professor Jones on a dig/treasure hunt. It falls out of the plane or into a ravine during a struggle.
Jack buggers off to get it back. And finds out that Methos is the agent the Nazis have hired to retrieve it. Methos, of course has known Jack for bloody years, having known him as a time travelling git with weird alien tech up to 1869, and as an immortal like himself since then, with a healthy lack of respect for that bloody stupid Game and being of the preference of shooting people and running away. Cue adventure of retrieving it. And yes, I have already planned the end scene.
Though I'm vaguely worried that I might end up with a PG rating again, with No Sex Scenes. And considering I've managed to do that two years running, I'm getting a bit afraid.
Now I just have to work out the dates, so I can get other details and any side-plot bunnies to either start or at least fall into place. (cos as everyone knows, half of plot is restrictions - you can't do this, but doing this means that you have to do this, which is *much* more interesting). Oh god. I've got a week to do the research. OH. SHIT.
(well, at least I've got an option on what I'm doing next year and thus might get round to plotting it much earlier...)
