Have been docs. Have inflamed metatarsals, which is much better than torn ones, like last time... Anyway. The prescription is 'be nice to them and take ibuprofen to reduce the swelling'. Er. I suspect standing for eight hours at a time, even in comfy combat boots, does not constitute being nice to them. I don't care what he says about posture. I have good posture when I'm working. Shop work is all about the good posture, because otherwise you kill your back and look bad in front of customers. But the good thing? Back at work again! Wheeee!
