query for the musical geeks
Feb. 14th, 2008 01:08 pmListening to various musicals. Hmm. Does anyone know if any of the great musical composers had good voices? Lloyd Webber is... not great. Cole Porter famously had a fairly crap voice (but still better than most). Sondheim? Jerry Herman? Irving Berlin? Noel Coward's pretty average, but then he didn't really write musicals as such, and Novello had a lovely voice, but also not actually a musicals writer.
