See, yeah, that sounds brilliant. I know for us, at least, there's loads of movies where we're like "well, that could be okay, but movies are so expensive -- let's wait 'till it's out on DVD". Then we watch the DVD and go "oh, that was so good! I wish we could've seen it in the theaters!" (especially the case for things with great effects).
This takes care of that -- you watch the DVD, say "hey, that's awesome", and go see it. Or, even if you decide it's not worth seeing on the big screen, they've at least got a couple bucks off you for the DVD, as opposed to the alternative, which is downloading. I really hope that's something that takes off.
