And the drumming goes on....

Am back from sun worshipping after collapsing into bed at 9am, then going cycling when I got up at 6.
Stonehenge is somewhat spectacular on approach. The stones are bigger than you think, btw. Train-bus, trekked across the farmland, then got to the police search. With sniffer dogs. With the somewhat amusing sight of seeing people being led away in handcusffs after being found with drugs. Classic sight being very stoned girl complaining that she was only holding them for someone else. Oh, and them taking a bottle away from one girl as she already had one and there was a limit on how much alcohol you could take in.
Climbed onto one of the big ones, got chatting. the druids were doing something but we couldn't see more than their heads in the crowd. And we thought it was crowded then. Drifted round for a bit chatting, got asked by a nutter into numerology what I was doing there if I was an out-and-out atheist (as well as the classic 'oh, you're a *capricorn*, that explains it'), then got to one of the drumming circles, danced along a bit, got a couple of cups and was providing percussion with the tambourines, then graduated onto broken drumstick and vodka bottle (only glass I saw the entire night) and spent entire night in drumming circles. Some very good gestalt sessions (one or two which were two hours long at a time) with everyone dancing along. Never seen so much general partying and bouncing and dancing to just drums. Plus, it's pretty warm in the inner circle due to the sheer amount of people.
By the time the sun was supposed to come up, it was completely clouded over and so packed you couldn't move. Couldn't hear what the ceremony leader was saying, either. Got back to the station about 6, utterly exhausted. Christ knows how much pot I inhaled considering how much was being smoked in the inner circle. Oh, and got to say 'yeah, that was me' when people were talking about the drumming. But oh my god my shoulders. Woke up with them completely seized up.
Question is now whether I do winter solstice.
